Recipe Details

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Freeze Time: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 2 hours 25 minutes
  • Servings: 6 banana pops

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas
  • Free2b Sea Salt Caramel Cups Minis, or your favorite Free2b flavor
  • 1–2 teaspoons coconut oil or preferred neutral oil, optional
  • 6 popsicle sticks
  • Allergy friendly rainbow sprinkles, optional
  • Crushed allergy friendly pretzels, optional

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and cut each banana in half to create six pieces.
  2. Carefully insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana half.
  3. Arrange the bananas on a parchment-lined plate or baking sheet. Freeze for at least 2 hours, or until completely firm.
  4. Unwrap the Free2b Cups and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each round, until melted and smooth.
  5. For a thinner and smoother coating, stir 1–2 teaspoons of coconut oil or your preferred neutral oil into the melted Free2b Cups.
  6. Dip each frozen banana into the melted chocolate mixture. You can also use a spoon to pour the coating over the banana, turning it as needed until evenly covered.
  7. Immediately decorate each banana pop with rainbow sprinkles or crushed pretzels while the coating is still wet.
  8. Return the coated banana pops to the freezer for 10–15 minutes, or until the chocolate coating has completely set.
  9. Enjoy immediately or store the banana pops in a freezer-safe container for a cool treat later.

Tip: Allow the banana pops to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before eating if they are too firm straight from the freezer. Always check the labels of oils, sprinkles, pretzels, and other toppings to ensure they meet your family’s specific allergy needs.
