Our products are allergy friendly which means it is made without or “free-from” the 9 most common (or “major”) food allergens (as listed by the FDA,) specifically, peanuts, tree nuts (coconut), dairy (milk), eggs, gluten (wheat), soy, shellfish, fish, and sesame. In addition, this product is also made without mustard, and added sulfites. And, this product does not contain artificial flavors, artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, preservatives, hydrogenated oils, palm oil or carrageenan. We take the safety of our customers with food allergies very seriously here at Free2b. Our production facility is free of the top 9 food allergens, mustard, and added sulfites, as are our products. We adhere to very strict food safety standards. We do not allow any ingredient, or any product containing an ingredient, with these allergens into the production facility. Our employees wear protective gear to cover their clothing, hands, and hair, and we clean and sanitize our equipment after every batch run as an added precaution.  

Additionally, Free2b Chocolate Cups are produced in a separate facility that follows the same rules with the added exclusion of corn or corn protein containing ingredients.

Yes, all of our products are vegan!

Free2b Chocolate Cups are Certified Gluten-Free by GFCO. Crunchsters are not yet certified Gluten-Free but they are a naturally Gluten-Free product.

Yes, all our products are certified Kosher, STAR-K. 

Yes! Everything we make is naturally non-GMO and all but one product is non-GMO Project Verified.

The only non-GMO Project Verified exception is the Crunchsters® Tangy Balsamic flavor. It uses Balsamic vinegar powder, an ingredient for which there are no non-GMO Project Verified sources that we can find, and we have looked. The manufacturer of this ingredient has verified that it is derived from non-GMO inputs. 

When beans are sprouted, the protein content of the bean increases. Crunchsters® have REAL plant-based protein in them, increased by spouting the mung beans, not a chemical derivative, such as a protein isolate. In one serving, you will find at least 6g of protein. You also get prebiotic fiber, the good kind that feeds your lower gut. PLUS, a treasure chest of minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, folate, manganese, and many more. 

Yes, they are fried for a limited time to intentionally create that indulgent snack taste and mouthfeel. After you have a bag of Crunchsters®, you won’t want to reach for that bag of potato chips or puffs.

The white film you see is most likely something called chocolate “bloom”. Blooming is caused by separation of fats. While it’s safe to eat and still good for baking, we understand that it’s not ideal for snacking. Please contact us using the General Customer Service form below for further help.

We understand that you might have noticed that our Mint and Caramel 2-Cups (or individually wrapped Chocolate Sun Cups) appear less filled, looking like they are half-filled. This is due to the launch of our new 15g cup size. The existing paper cups available from suppliers are too tall for our cups, which is why the new 15g cups might seem smaller in the same packaging. We are actively working on sourcing custom paper cups that better fit the 15g size to address this appearance issue. Please be assured that the quality and taste of our products continue to meet the high standards that Free2b Foods is known for.

No, we do not use chocolate that has sugar that is processed or filtered with bone char. We only use sugar that is vegan, aligned to our commitment to fully vegan products.

Our brown sugar does not contain any animal derived ingredients or by-products of animal slaughter. The refining process of the sugar that we source, including our brown sugar, is also free from natural charcoal. This makes our brown sugar vegan, aligning with our commitment to produce fully vegan products.

Free2b Foods chocolate is sourced from vendors with ethical sourcing guidelines in place. A portion of our chocolate is sourced through the Cocoa Horizons program, https://www.cocoahorizons.org/, an impact driven program focused on cocoa farmer prosperity and helping build self-sustaining farming communities that protect nature and children. The other portion of our chocolate is sourced through a code of conduct aligned with the OECD’s Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business, which includes no tolerance for illegal labor, such as human trafficking, slavery, and the worst forms of child labor.

While our top priority is to source safe, top 12 allergen free chocolate, which requires unique production runs, we also prioritize sourcing chocolate that does not contribute to the negative social or environmental impacts of cocoa growing.

The vanilla used in our Free2b treats is derived from vanilla beans, glycerin from rapeseed oil, and ethyl alcohol distilled from cane sugar.

Our Caramel syrup is simply a caramelized sugar syrup, made of 100% sugar.

The peppermint oil we use is distilled twice to ensure its purity and quality. There are no solvent/carriers added to the oil.

Our chocolate cups and mini cups are 50/50 filling to chocolate.

Our 20g cups are 10g filling and 10g chocolate. Our 15g cups are 10g filling and 10g chocolate, and our 10g mini cups are 5g filling and 5g chocolate.

Our dark chocolate contains .056g of caffeine per 100g of dark chocolate. Our Dark Chocolate Sunflower Butter Sun Cups contain 5.6mg of caffeine, and our Dark Chocolate Sunflower Butter Sun Cups Minis contain 2.8mg of caffeine.

Our chocolate uses Cane Sugar.

We ship Monday through Wednesday, for delivery Wednesday through Friday. If you place an order Thurs-Sun, we will ship your order the following week. Orders placed after 12pm CT on Wednesday are not promised to arrive the same week. You’ll receive an email confirmation when we receive your order, another when it ships, and one more once it’s delivered. While we work to ship orders quickly and efficiently, we are unable to prevent fulfillment delays or shipping interruptions/delays caused by UPS. If you think there might be an issue, send us an email, and our team will be happy to assist you.

We do not give refunds. Since our product is perishable, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. If your order from free2bfoods.com arrived damaged or you need to report a problem, please contact our team within 24 hours of receiving it and we will do all we can to make it right for you. If your concern involves damaged or otherwise unusable product, please include photos of the product and packaging so that our team can look into it. 

We are unable to give refunds, returns, or exchanges for products purchased at retail stores, or from online sellers. The policy above applies to purchases made at free2bfoods.com.

When shipping during the warmer weather months, we ship in biodegradable green cell foam coolers with ice packs to ensure that your order gets to you safe and sound.

Our subscription service works much like others that you may be familiar with online. It’s just like placing a one-time order - you will input your order, payment method, and shipping address, and our system will save this info for your future shipments. You pick the product(s) that you want delivered to you and the frequency in which you’d like them delivered and then we do the rest! You will need to create an account with us, but after that, you have full control of your subscription. You will be able to cancel at any time, put the subscription on hold if you are going to be away from home for a while, or change the products that you have shipped to you. Of course, we are always here to help, so if you have any issues with your subscription please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team!
